The year was 2003.
We took another family vacation to Bad Axe to visit with Tim's family. Of course, any trip to Michigan meant a trip to the Lake. When we went out to Lake Huron, we were shocked to see how terribly the drought had affected the Great Lake.
The water level was so low that Tim and the kids were able to walk out to a sand bar and back in an area where that never would have been possible to do.
Normally the water would have well covered those huge rocks in the background.
Wave to Mom...we didn't drown on the way out.
Time to explore
And then...so glad to almost be back on solid ground...at least Mom was very glad.
